With Kenny Beaney suspended, Dipo Akinyemi returned to the starting line up as the only change to the side that drew with Macclesfield.
The Hamlet faced a Worthing side that has slipped down the table recently, and whose tactics looked to be to contain The Hamlet by setting up two banks of defenders and as a result their attacks were sporadic.
It was Worthing who had the first effort on goal in the 5th minute when a free kick from the Dulwich left was diverted wide. However, Dulwich soon began to gain the ascendancy and a good move on the right saw Thorp hold a cross from Gavin Tomlin. For Worthing Louis Clark had the ball in the Dulwich net, after he seized on a deflected shot, but the assistant had long since raised his flag.
Dipo Akinyemi fired an effort too high, as did Ibrahim Kargbo, before Dulwich then went close as a cross from Kargbo found Ibra Sekajja at the far post, but his effort was cleared off the line.
Nathan Green missed a gilt edged chance when a corner was volleyed goalwards by Marc Weatherstone and he headed over from inside the six yard box, Gavin Tomlin then fired a shot just wide and had another effort blocked for a corner, whilst for Worthing Clark fired wide when quick thinking by Lloyd Dawes gave him the chance.
With half time close, Dipo Akinyemi couldn't get the ball out of his feet when it fell to him in the 6 yard box.
Half Time 0-0
Having wasted a number of first half chances, it took The Hamlet less than a minute to take the lead at the start of the second half.
Ashley Carew crossed from the left and Gavin Tomlin put it into the path of Dipo Akinyemi who fired home.Tomlin then set up Sekajja on two occasions, Thorp saving his 47th minute effort and a defender blocking the 56th minute effort. It seemed Sekajja was getting all the scoring chances, and on the hour he was set clear but took the ball too wide when rounding Thorp and a defender blocked. Marc Weatherstone was also left frustrated as his 74th minute header was cleared off the line.
Worthing pushed forward without great conviction, although O' Neill had an effort blocked, whilst Clark and Waller had efforts too high.
Substitute Dumebi Dumaka got on the end of an Ashley Carew free kick but fired too high whilst, when he got clear on the rightm his pass to Ibra Sekajja, waiting in front of a open net, was cut out,
With the game entering stoppage time, a Worthing free kick called Preston Edwards into action as he held the tame effort. Finally, a cross to the far post late in stoppage time was headed just over by Kane Wills.
