Youth Team Bow Out
The youth team exited the FA Youth Cup in the final qualifying against the Metropolitan Police
The Hamlet were eventually well beaten by a strong Metropolitan Police youth team at Champion Hill, although for a lot of the game they held their own.
There was an early escape for Dulwich when Crawfoot hit the post with a header that had Wray well beaten, but it was a slip from the Dulwich keeper that gave the visitors the lead. A low shot from Keeya seemed to be covered, but squirmed under the keeper's dive.
Wray made a good save from a Restrepo free kick, whilst Allassani forced a low save from Maung-Maung in the Met goal. Thomas saw his effort saved as Dulwich looked to level the scores and came close when an effort squirmed under the visiting keeper but was scrambled off the line.
Half Time 0-1
For the opening part of the second half it was Dulwich who looked the more likely to score, but resolute defending from the Met ensured that any efforts were blocked or hacked away. However, it was the visitors who doubled their lead around the hour as Molloy fired home.
In truth, the second goal settled the outcome and it came as no surprise when the Met Police added further goals. Vincent delivered a free kick from the Dulwich left that beat everybody, including a flat footed Wray in the Dulwich goal.
With eight minutes remaining a simple corner routine saw the ball headed back at the far post for a simple header over the line from a couple of yards out to complete the scoring.
Final score 0-4
