MATCH PREVIEW | Enfield Town vs Dulwich Hamlet | Capital Women's Cup | 16/02/25
The Hamlet return to Capital Women's Cup action on Sunday as we visit Enfield Town with a place in the competitions semi-finals up for grabs.
The Hamlet will be boosted by 2 solid results on their return to Champion Hill in the last week. On Sunday they defeated London Bees 3-0 thansk to a brace from Iesha Swaby and a header from Anna Jowle. On Wednesday night it was the opposite to Sunday. A gritty and determined Hamlet defence boosted by an in form Saskia Reeves Priestley meant we secured a point against title challengers Chatham Town.
With those results the Hamlet moved further away from the relegation zone and pushed further into the mid table battle.
This weekends opponents currently play in the Eastern Region Women's Football League Division Premier division. Sitting in 6th after 15 matches. winning 6 drawing 3 and losing 6.
They come into this one unbeaten in 2025. In the last round of this competition they defeated Charlton Athletic Women U21's on penalties before league victories over Watford and Newmarket.
Enfield used to play in the London & South East Regional Women's Premier Division until being moved to their current league for geographical reasons.
The last time we met in a cup competition was last season when they visited Champion Hill in the Isthmian Women's Cup which the Hamlet would win on penalties.
SQUAD NEWS:
Lucy Monkman remains out as she recovers from a foot injury. Ceylon Hickman could return on Sunday after coming off injured against London Bees. Apart from that Ryan Dempsey should have a fully fit squad at his disposal.
