A blast from the past!
The son of a Hamlet legend from the Forties & Fifties, who wore the famous Pink & Blue in the Seventies was back at Champion Hill last Saturday.
Kimm Connett, who played for The Hamlet under the reign of manager Alan Smith, and was part of our 1978 Isthmian League Championship winning side, was a guest, with some of his family.
His late father Pat, who served on the Dulwich Hamlet football Committee for many years, always said his proudest footballing moment was when he saw Kimm make his debut for The Hamlet.
Kimm is in the jacket in the boardroom photo; on the far left is his brother-in-law Neil Howes & his son Jamie Howes. Whilst on the far right, next to Kimm is his 15-year-old son Cameron Connett.
Kimm has kept in touch with a number of the 1977/78 Division One squad, and is hoping to arrange a re-union & special visit to a Dulwich game at Champion Hill later in the season.
