A reminder if you're going to Grays on Monday
Grays Athletic do NOT play in Grays, and this season have a new groundshare at Aveley FC
Which is actually at lot easier to get to by public transport than it seems.
Simply head to Fenchurch Street Station, you can get a 40 bus there from the East Dulwich/Camberwell/Walworth Road area, if you're local to Champion Hill.
Then board a train to Barking( which should be a Shoeburyness service), where you change for one to Rainham, in Essex; this should terminate at Grays. The entire train journey, including the change at Barking, should take less than half an hour.
From there you come out of the station and there is a bus stop across the road. Jump on a 372 bus and it takes less than ten minutes to reach the Aveley ground.
So there should be no excuse to miss this mouthwatering top of the table clash, give the crush & crowds of Carnival a miss, over in West London, and head in the other direction, where hopefully we will have a carnival of our own!
If driving simply put the following into your satnav: Mill Field, Mill Road, Aveley, Essex, RM15 4SJ
Incidentally, if you go to away games by public transport, but are unsure of some of the directions, there is a brilliant website by a chap called Andy, from Kent.
It is perfect, not just for Ryman League Premier Division grounds, but ALL non-league venues all over the country.
CLICK HERE to have a peek, I guarantee you will save it as an essential must use website!
