Barnsey Reunites With Former Captain
Temi Eweka signs on month's loan from Maidenhead United
Paul Barnes has brought in another new face to the club this week, signing his former Staines Town captain Temi Eweka on loan from Maidenhead United.
The 23-year-old defender joined the Magpies in the summer from Bracknell Town, but has found game time severely limited, making just one league start and a further appearance from the bench, but has recently spent a month with Steve King's Gloucester City in the National League North, playing four times during his spell.
Temi had a very successful campaign last year, playing a starring role in Bracknell Town's title winning campaign in the Isthmian League South Central Division, in which they only conceded 12 goals in their 36 matches, with Eweka keeping 20 clean sheets in defence.
He reunites with a manager he worked with at Staines Town, helping the side finish second in the abandoned 2020-21 campaign. Temi has also played for Dartford in the past, and whilst a powerful defender, showed during his time with Bracknell that he has an eye for goal as well.
During his stay with the club, Temi will wear number 27 on his back, and is line to play for the first time in our fixture with Chelsea U21s this weekend.
Welcome to the club Temi, we hope you enjoy your time at Champion Hill!
