Cruickshank Back For Second Spell
Defender rejoins after short spell at Champion Hill in 2021
Ryan Dempsey has bolstered his defensive options by signing 20-year-old left-back Mia Cruickshank from West Ham United.
Hamlet fans may remember the name, with Mia appearing three times for us during the Spring Round Robin competition at the end of the 2020-21 season when Covid-19 had once again prematurely ended the league season.
Mia made her debut in a 2-1 victory over Saltdean United, before scoring two thunderbolts in her second outing, a 3-3 draw with Eastbourne Town the following week. Check out those goals here: https://youtu.be/228HOd1E73s. Her final appearance came a week later in a 3-2 home loss with Ashford Town (Middlesex).
As well as the Hammers, Mia also counts Reading and London Bees among former clubs, and has represented her country, appearing for the England Under-17s during the 2019 European Championships in Bulgaria.
On Mia's arrival, Ryan said, "We’re delighted to welcome Mia back to Dulwich. She had a brief but exciting spell during the Covid Spring mini series. We’ve been looking to strengthen the squad with quality and Mia certainly has that. We wanted to add goals & assists to the squad and Mia has the ability for both."
Mia will be able to play in our FA Cup tie with Gillingham on Sunday, and will wear the number 18 shirt for the club.
Welcome back to the club Mia!!
