Dulwich Hamlet & a local trade union branch are linking up on Saturday afternoon!

The local Southwark branch of the UNISON trade union are the official matchball sponsors for our next home game this Saturday, when we host Folkestone Invicta.

Hamlet Pitchero believe this is the first time a trade union branch has actively got involved in helping the Hamlet!

A number of Dulwich fans work in the public sector, including Southwark Council, & are members of UNISON, so it's an ideal link up.

Some members of the branch will be at the game, handing out fliers to publicise the forthcoming TUC national demonstration on Saturday 20th October, 'A Future That Works', which will include a local march to Hyde Park, from Geraldine Harmsworth Park, at 10.30am that morning. Which would mean you could support that, get to Hyde Park, & then give the main rally a swerve, to dash back to Champion Hill for our home match that day with Leatherhead! The best of both worlds! ;-)

And in case you're wondering...it won't be the branch bigwigs enjoying themselves on Saturday at Champion Hill...for they invited all Southwark UNISON members via email to enter a prize draw & the lucky winner of the two tickets was Spancho Mullings, a gardener from the Sandgate Street Depot. We hope he, & his guest, enjoy the game.

A matchball package only cost £30, & for that you get two VIP tickets for the boardroom hospitality, pre & post match, as well as half time. This includes your seat in the directors box, if you wish, though you can stand or sit anywhere else in the ground, if you prefer. And your matchday programmes are free for you too! So it's certainly worth helping The Hamlet by sponsoring a matchball.
