Commercial Corner

Here's the latest column from the official matchday programme today, against Shoreham, for those of you who haven't been able to get to the game.

Good afternoon everyone...this season we've had the special buzz of being back in the Premier Division, but today also sees the 'annual buzz' of where we can dream of being the non-league side that captures the hearts of the nation and come January runs out at Anfield, the Emirates or Old Trafford!

No doubt if that were to happen potential sponsors would be beating at the door to get in on the act, but until that ever happens, and hey...what's wrong with dreaming, we are extremely grateful to this afternoon's Match Sponsor. Step forward lifelong Hamlet fan Norman Pocock, who has once again sponsored one of our Football Association competion matches, in his insurance company name, HR JENNINGS FOR INSURANCE, whose advertisment you can also see elsewhere in this programme. Many thanks to him for his continued support of the club.

We are also pleased to have a Match Ball sponsor for our first qualifying round encounter, the respected Sandom Robinson Solicitors, who have also supported the club several times down the years. This season they have 'come back on board' not just with match ball sponsorship, but also by taking out an advert in the programmme. We thank them too for their generousity.

We are still looking for more sponsors at home games. You can check the list elsewhere in the programme and see what suits you. It's a mere ninety nine pounds for a match package, & only £30 for a matchball one. Simply speak to Liam Hickey, Mishi Morath, or any other Committee member today, to find out more, or drop an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. This afternoon will be your LAST CHANCE to hand in the "12th Man" prediction competition forms. It's all a bit of fun, where you can also win a few bob too. Simply prediction lots of winners and runners-up from the Premier League down to the Isthmian League, pay a fiver and see who wins the pot at the end of the season! Half of the entry fee goes to the "12th Man" fund, the other fifty per cent is paid out in prize money. If you've not heard of this before, you might even be able to pursuade Neil or Shaun to let you to take away a sheet this afternoon & return it this coming Tuesday at the Isthmian Charity Shield match against Faversham Town...

Sometimes it's not always easy to meet fellow Hamlet fans if you don't know them, especially if you're only a recent convert to the Champion Hill terraces, a great, fun way to do so is to have a run out for the Supporters Team. 'The Rabblers', as they affectionately call themselves, play totally for fun, to encourage Hamlet fans to socialise both among themselves and other fans who they play, to spread the word and promote the name of our club, and just to have the thrill of playing in the Pink 'n' Blue! The first game will be next Saturday morning, at Belair Park, the opposition is being finalised, but there is a 'back up' plan B team waiting in the wings. When the opposition are confirmed it will be published on the official Dulwich Hamlet football Club website, www.pitchero.com/clubs/dulwichhamlet So come on, don't be shy, ability is a bonus, the team is not picked on who is the better player, or how many games you watch, it's open to ANY Hamlet fans, male or female, and it's 'rolling subs', so you can only have a fifteen minute run out, if that's all you want. If you want to find out more don't be shy...just ask behind the goal for Lester Ford or Shaun Dooley, and they'll tell you more, or drop Lester an email, at This email address is being protected from spambots. That's all for today, hope to see you all back here on Tuesday, fingers crossed Faversham Town have not drawn with Cray Wanderers in the Cup this weekend, and we have won today!
