Dulwich Hamlet 6-0 Shoreham
Dulwich comfortably moved into the next round of the FA Cup with a comprehensive victory over their Sussex County League visitors.
Dulwich were totally dominant for the entire 90 minutes against a Shoreham side who should be commended for endeavouring to play football throughout the game and never resorted to strong arm tactics to contain their hosts.
Marcel Henry-Francis made his home debut and was to be frustrated in his attempts to find the net. It was he who had the first 2 chances but fired both just wide.
Nyren Clunis was next to go close on 11 minutes. He ran more than half the length of the field following a break from a Shoreham corner.
It was Clunis who broke the deadlock in the 14th minute as collected the ball on the edge of the box to the left from where he stepped inside three defenders before firing home. Three minutes later the Shoreham keeper made two good blocks from Henry-Francis and Clunis. From the resulting corner Kevin James & Erhun Oztumer worked a short corner and somehow James cross eluded everybody.
On 23 minutes the second goal arrived as the ball was laid off to Xavier Vidal some 25 yards out and his fierce shot left the keeper rooted to the spot as it whistled past him into the net.
On 32 minutes, Kevin James went close direct from a free kick but four minutes later it was to be 3-0 as Nyren Clunis was felled by a clumsy challenge in the box and Erhun Oztumer sent the keeper the wrong way from the spot.
Three minutes from half time came goal number four as Dulwich were awarded a free kick some 25 yards out. Up stepped Erhun Oztumer whose free kick was whipped over the wall and into the top corner of the goal with the keeper a mere spectator. It truly was a fantastic piece of skill!
Half Time 4-0
The second half was to follow a similar pattern. On 48 minutes Nyren Clunis had a shot deflected for a corner which was delivered by Kevin James and headed off the line.
Kevin James and Erhun Oztumer worked another short corner and James shot was deflected wide.
The fifth goal arrived on 58 minutes as an Erhun Oztumer corner saw Mathieu Boyer rise highest to head home.
Xavier Vidal had a stinging drive well saved by the keeper and Erhun Oztumer forced another save before the same player hit a dipping drive just over the bar.
Nassim Dukali, who replaced Erhun Oztumer, then released Marcel Henry-Francis to the right of goal but his effort was blocked. This was his last chance of a goal on the day before being replaced by Ian Daly.
It was Daly who added goal number six in the 77th minute as fellow substitute Abdul Manseray's shot was spilled by the keeper and Ian Daly followed up to take it round the keeper and finish into the empty net.
Ahmed Deen then fired wide before Shoreham created their one clear chance on 79 minutes as Josh Clack delivered a cross from the right that the onrushing Elliot Quant met firmly but could only head over the top,
The last clear chance fell to Nassim Dukali on 87 minutes as he lifted his shot over the advancing keeper but wide of the post.
Final Score 6-0
