Cray left wandering as Dulwich Hamlet Under 18's hit four
The Aspire Academy coached Dulwich Hamlet Under 18s title challenge in the Kent Youth League North picked up pace as Cray Wanderers were overturned.
It was a big game at Rutland Walk this morning as Dulwich Hamlet took on the then Kent Youth League North Division leaders, Cray Wanderers Youth, knowing that victory would be essential to ensure the Hamlet kept pace in their bid to retain the title. And what a victory it was as Tarik Ibrahim bagged a brace, his pair complemented by goals from Ade Batula and Alton Leward as Dulwich Hamlet marched to an imperious 4-0 win. The result moved Dulwich up to third spot in the North Division, a point behind the defeated Wands and with a game in hand of their victims today.
Cray Wanderers defeat allowed Welling United to leapfrog them into top spot after a 3-0 win over West Wickham, Welling lead the Hamlet by three points but have played a game more than the Dulwich youngsters. It all sets things up nicely for next Sunday's clash between the two clubs at Rutland Walk, kickoff 11am.
