Did you play for The Hamlet?

Do you fancy dusting down your boots one last time and gracing the hallowed Champion Hill turf one last time?

If the answer is yes then a much loved former Dulwich Hamlet from the Nineteen Nineties wants to hear from you!

Lionel Best is arranging a benefit match in aid of a youth mentoring through football organisation he runs, called :

The game will be staged at Champion Hill on Sunday 8th May, kick off 2.00pm, and Besty's 'old guard' will be taking on a current Dulwich Hamlet XI.

All admission money on the day, a mere five pounds for adults, or a £2 donation for concessions, will be donated to help the excellent work his organisation does.

And we will also be offering you the chance to bid lace up your own boots and play alongside Lionel on the day....more details to be announced soon!

In the meantime we need your help...

If you know a former Hamlet player, be it in person, or via social media, then please let them know of this appeal for anyone who has appeared for The Hamlet down the decades.

Lionel is trying to contact players from our promotion season from 1991/92 in particular, but players from any era can get in touch...either to take part, or simply to come along, support a good cause...and enjoy themselves.

It's too early to say who have pledged to be there aleady, but we can tell you that Lionel is working hard alongside a firm favourite from the Eighties, Paul Gbogidi, to sort out their side, and make the day a great success.

Indeed, only this week both Lennie Dennis & Carl Richards have said they will be part of Lionel's team!

So put the date down in your diary, for just one event in a super end of season Dulwich Hamlet extravaganza...over the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
