Disappointing weekend for the Dulwich Hamlet youngsters

Three outings and three defeats for the Aspire Academy coached youth teams in this weekend’s Kent Youth League matches.

After the euphoria of the FA Youth Cup win over Margate on Thursday night, it was back to earth with a bump for the Under 18’s as they went down 3-1 away to Cray Wanderers Youth on Sunday, Reece Johnson scoring the Hamlet’s only goal. The win for the young Wands allowed them to leapfrog Dulwich Hamlet into top spot in the Kent Youth League Under 18 North Division.

Elsewhere the Under 16s went down 4-1 away to HL Sports Paulista, the Under 15 lost 2-0 at home to Holmesdale whilst the Under 14s were without a game.

The fixture lists for the Kent Youth League teams have now been updated to reflect rearranged fixture dates and kick-off times. Supporters intending to watch these games are advised to check the Kent Youth League website in advance.
