Brentford were into their stride quickly with Jan Holldack and Cole both shooting wide in the opening 10 minutes. Dulwich had their first effort at goal in the 13th minute when Ashley Carew saw his free kick comfortably saved by Ellery Balcombe in the Bees goal.

Dulwich then went close in the 15th minute when an Ashley Carew cross was headed towards goal by Gavin Tomlin at the far post. However, his looping header was headed away off the line.

Nathan Green saw an effort blocked after Dumebi Dumaka and Gavin Tomlin had combined to set him up. From the resultant corner, Brentford broke quickly but good defending from Nyren Clunis thwarted Justin Shaibu .

Brentford scored the only goal in the 37th minute when Nathan Green lost a challenge on the half way line and the ball was transferred forward to Reece Cole. He found space on the edge of the box and gave Preston Edwards no chance with an effort into the top corner.

Within a minute Dulwich had a good chance to level. Dumebi Dumaka found Nyren Clunis in space on the edge of the penalty area but he placed his effort too high.

Half Time 0-1

Dulwich had the first chance of the second half as Gavin Tomlin shot wide following good play from Dumaka. It then took a good save from Balcombe to keep out a header from Nathan Green as he met an Ashley Carew corner with a firm header.

Brentford then spurned a good chance to extend their lead when Emmanuel Onariase was unable to turn home a free kick from the Dulwich left by Cole.

A swift counter attack from Brentford saw them outnumber Dulwich defenders 5 to 2 but Nyren Clunis chased back some 60 yards to perfectly time his tackle and prevent a second goal.

Dulwich then went close to levelling the scores when Gavin Tomlin fired a cross shot that had Balcombe beaten but whistled wide of the far post.

Ralph Kottoy fired a 20 yard free kick too high following a foul on Dumaka, whilst for Brentford Cole fired wide and Preston Edwards made a fine block with his legs from Shaibu.

In the final minute, Ralph Kottoy played a fine ball through to Nyren Clunis but Jarvis Edobor got back to stop him getting a sight of goal.

Final Score 0-1
