Dulwich Hamlet 0-1 Ebbsfleet Utd
A solitary Ben May goal saw The Hamlet slip to defeat against another of last season's top Conference South sides.
Dulwich gave a good account of themselves against strong opposition and the teams were only separated by a single second half goal as Ben May got on the end of a cross from the Dulwich left.
The first half was fairly even although the visitors looked dangerous going forward. Inigo Echepare was called into action mainly to deal with crosses but was forced to make a good low save at his near post.
At the other end Dean McDonald and Nyren Clunis were both crowded out when looking to get shots away. The best chance fell to Ashley Carew, who had another fine game, as he was sent through the middle after good passing between Kevin James & Dean McDonald. However, his shot was too high.
Half Time 0-0
The second half was equally competitive with lots of neat passing but little in the way of clear strikes on goal, before May got on the end of a fine cross to put the visitors ahead.
A mix up in defence saw Ebbsfleet spurn a clear chance to double their lead; the shot clipping the far post.
At the other end Carew hit a rasping drive just wide after a corner was pulled back to the edge of the box and Dean Lodge was thwarted by a well timed Kenny Clark tackle when bearing down on goal.
Final Score 0-1
