The games come thick and fast as Dulwich Hamlet face their third game in four days with Ebbsfleet United the visitors to Champion Hill.

The team formerly known as Gravesend and Northfleet are expected to field a strong squad after their scheduled away game at VCD on Saturday fell prey to some inclement localised stormy weather. Perhaps, though with what should prove to a competitive gam on the cards this evening, the grass is greener on the Dulwich side of the fence!

Players to watch in Steve Brown’s ‘Fleet line-up include Charlie Sheringham, a much travelled goal machine much in the mould of England-capped dad and midfielder Tom Fraser, former captain of Port Vale who dropped down into the Isthmian League to help Whitehawk surge into Conference South. Of course Ebbsfleet’s success of late, last season saw them narrowly beaten in a grudge match playoff final at home to Dover Athletic, is not all about the “carpet bagging” former professionals. Youth has been given its head by the management and one to watch will be the exciting tyro midfielder, Leo Mazzone, who burst into the first team last term mere months after taking his first steps in the academy setup.

This evening’s game kicks off at 7.45 pm at Champion Hill Stadium, Edgar Kail Way, East Dulwich, London SE22 8BD.

The turnstiles will be open from approximately 6.30 pm with refreshment facilities available in the ground for early arrivals. As a healthy crowd is expected, why not avoid the late rush and relax.
