Dulwich Hamlet 1-2 Faversham Town

Gavin Rose gave the squad players a chance to impress as he made wholesale changes but the more cohesive visitors deserved their win.

Dulwich could not have got off to a worse start as they fell behind in the opening minute. Mitchell Nelson tried to play the ball back to Oshane Brown but only succeeded in giving the ball to Renford Tenyue and he scored with ease.

Kevin James twice gave the ball away in the opening six minutes but was rescued by a good block from Matt Drage & a good save from Oshane Brown that denied Liam King.

Dulwich went close with a free kick from Albert Jarrett that was just too high and good work fro.m Dean McDonald released Damian Scannell but he failed to get a shot away.

The Hamlet were almost two behind in the 18th minute when a George Monger free kick beat Oshane Brown but hit the bar before hitting Brown and rolling out for a corner.

The rest of the half was a scrappy with neither side able to seriously threaten a goal.

The second half saw Dulwich fail to pressure the visitors and it was somewhat of a surprise when Dulwich leveled the scores in the 64th minute. Jordan Hibbert received the ball on the right and overhit his cross. However, it found the far corner of the net.

However Faversham were back in front just 2 minutes later as Tenyue headed in a cross from the Dulwich right.

Dulwich pushed in search of an equaliser but very little of their play was cohesive. Mitchell Nelson had a header kicked off the line and in the closing minutes Diallang Jaiyesimi beat Godmon to the ball but couldn't get enough on it to force it home. However, Oshane Brown had to pull off a good double save following his own poor clearance and Liam King shot wide when he broke clear.
