There was a first start for Joseph Debayo from Hayes & Yeading who formed a new central defensive partnership with Quade Taylor. There were also first starts of the season for Rhys Murrell-Williamson & Louis-Michel Yamfam
Dulwich were very slow to get into the game and could easily have been behind within the first 5 minutes. Preston Edwards had to make a fine save low to his right and another at point blank range from the resulting corner. Casey also had a goal bound effort blocked.
Therefore it was much against the run of play when Dulwich took the lead in the 13th minute. Louis-Michel Yamfam picked up the ball midway inside the Faversham half and drove at a retreating defence. The ball was then laid off to Rhys Murrell-Williamson who curled a delightful effort out of the reach of Will Godmon in the visitor's goal.
Following this setback, it was once again Faversham who created the best chances as Monger had an effort just too high and Joshua Stanford was the next to be thwarted by Preston Edwards. He was allowed to carry the ball into the box unchallenged but Edwards parried his effort and Debayo cleared the rebound.
Just prior to half time Ibra Sekajja intercepted a poor clearance but his effort was just wide courtesy of a slight deflection. Faversham then had a chance to level in first half stoppage time as a long clearance sent Renford Tenuye in behind the Dulwich defence but Quade Taylor got back to dispossess him.
Half Time 1-0..
Faversham had the first chance of the second half when a 50th minute cross from the Dulwich left by Tenuye was met by the stretching Kieron Campbell at the far post, but he couldn't keep his effort down.
A minute later Ibra Sekajja failed to connect with a cross by Nathan Green that flashed across goal. Green then sliced an effort wide after his acceleration had taken him clear inside the penalty area.
Mobolaji Dowadu headed just wide from no more than 10 ysrds when he got on the end of a cross from the Dulwich right, whilst for Dulwich, Ibra Sekajja had an effort just wide after good work from Louis-Michel Yamfam.
The ever dangerous Tenuye then got in behind the Dulwich defence but was thwarted by a fine tackle from Quade Taylor before Sekajja thought he had doubled the lead but was adjudged offside.
Taylor again produced a fine tackle on Tenuye to prevent him getting an effort on goal shortly before Dulwich doubled their lead when substitute Gavin Tomlin headed in a cross Nathan Green.
Almost immediately Faversham should have reduced the deficit but Joshua Stanford shot wide with only Preston Edwards to beat. However, with six minutes remaining Faversham did pull a goal back when Oliver Wells scrambled a Tenuye cross past Edwards.
Stanford then had another effort that went close as Faversham pushed to take the tie to penalties. However, Dulwich held out to book a place in the next round against AFC Hornchurch.
