DULWICH HAMLET 3-0 WHITSTABLE TOWN
Second half goals from Nyren Clunis. Daniel Carr and Xavier Vidal completed an ultimately comfortable win for The Hamlet.
With the game taking place in a strong wind and driving snow the first half was generally a non event with both sides struggling to come to terms with the conditions.
However an impressive second half showing saw Dulwich ease to victory. It was 55 minutes in when Dulwich took the lead and it was waiting for as Nyren Clunis picked up the ball midway inside the Whitstable half before advancing and crashing an unstoppable rising drive home from 25 yards.
It took only another three minutes for the lead to be doubled as a cross from the left was half volleyed back info the six yard box where Daniel Carr was waiting to gleefully slam home.
That meant Whitstable had to commit to attack and although they pushed on they could get no change from a Dulwich rearguard superbly marshalled by the outstanding Peter Adeniyi.
It wasn't a surprise when Dulwich added a third as Xavier Vidal won the ball on the edge of the box and fed Ellis Green who crossed for Vidal to fire home the third on 79 minutes.
