Dulwich eventually completed a comfortable victory over Lowestoft Town despite being pegged back early in the second half.
Dulwich reverted to something close to the current preferred starting line up, with Ashley Carew on the bench. Lowestoft were only able to name 3 substitutes and this was reduced to just two when Barker had to replace McAuley in the starting XI after the warm up,
Dulwich opened brightly and visiting keeper Jake Jessup must have feared he was in for a busy afternoon when he had to fly to his left to push a fierce effort from Nyren Clunis round the post. Clunis then headed over the bar when Nathan Green delivered a cross to the far post.
Another flowing move, with the ball being being played forward through Gavin Tomlin to Ibra Sekajja, saw him fire a shot that Jessup could only push out but Dumebi Dumaka blazed his follow up effort over the bar.
Nathan Green had another effort beaten away by Jessup after combining with Ibra Sekajja in the 15th minute. The same player then returned the ball to the far post but it was cleared from in front of Clunis.
Despite Dulwich being so on top, it was Preston Edwards who had to produce a fine stop in the 20th minute. Bammant got away on the Dulwich right and Preston Edwards had to get in front of the onrushing Nico Cotten to save.
However, Dulwich took the lead just 3 minutes later. Adam Smith was caught in possession by Ibrahim Kargbo who played the ball to Nyren Clunis. He carried the ball down the right and slid his cross to the far post where Ibra Sekajja joyfully thumped home.
Whilst Dulwich remained predominantly on the front foot, the visitors had their moments and a cross from Bammant flew across the Dulwich six yard box, with Jake Reed just unable to connect.
Dulwich continued to seek a second goal. Clunis had a cross scrambled away, and a fine pass released Ibra Sekajja on goal but he was crowded out. Then a long clearance from Preston Edwards was flicked on by Dumebi Dumaka to Sekajja who laid it back into the path of Dumaka but his hot was saved.
Half Time 1-0
Having failed to close the game out in the first half, Dulwich were pegged back just 3 minutes after half time when Travis Cole headed them level.
Dulwich were now looking less assured, and Preston Edwards had to save from Ryan Jarvis after he found space to fire a cross from the Dulwich left goalwards.
However, the home side regained their composure and Marc Weatherstone put a free header wide from a corner before Dulwich took a 55th minute lead with a spectacular goal from Dumebi Dumaka.
He won a header out on the touchline near the home dugout and, having flicked it infield, picked up the ball and ran at goal. He then unleashed a shot from all of 25 yards that flew past Jessup high to his left.
A minute before the hour mark, Nyren Clunis came close to adding a third goal but his effort across goal shaved the far post.
In the 63rd minute, Lowestoft striker Shaun Bammant somehow escaped with just a yellow card for a shocking challenge on Matt Drage, but they were down to 10 men within 4 minutes when goalscorer Travis Cole was sent off for a stamp on Dumaka with the ball already out of play.
Despite being a man short, Lowestoft looked capable of an equaliser and Harvey Hodd fired wide when well placed.
With 15 minutes remaining Dulwich sealed the points with a third goal. Nathan Green intercepted a pass and set off forward on the left and then played a pass to Dumebi Dumaka. He then returned the ball to Green who jabbed in a short cross that substitute Panutche Camara turned past Jessup.
Dulwich could have added a fourth goal in the 79th minute when a through ball from Gavin Tomlin released Jacob Erskine, but he overhit his pass that was intended for Panutche Camara and would have left him with a tap in.
With 90 minutes up, Camara played in Gavin Tomlin but after beating Jessup his effort was cleared off the line.
Final Score 3-1
