FA YOUTH CUP ADVENTURE BEGINS TONIGHT AT CHAMPION HILL

The ASPIRE Academy coached Dulwich Hamlet youngsters meet Phoenix Sports in the FA Youth Cup Prelimainary Round this evening, kicking off at 7.00 pm

Phoenix Sports are familiar opponents for the Dulwich Hamlet youngsters with the two teams squaring up to each other in both the Kent Youth League North Division and the National League U19 Alliance. Last season the games went the way of the Hamlet with early season encounters in both competitions resulting in big wins for Dulwich’s ASPIRE Academians. In the Youth Alliance Daillang Jaiyesimi and Osman Proni both scored twice as Dulwich Hamlet won 6-1 at Rutland Walk with Brian Testolin and Ade Batula also chipping in with goals. Phoenix were hit for six once more in the Kent Youth League as Tarik Ibrahim with a brace, aided and abetted by goals from Kiki Oshilaja, Kladji Cani, Cristian Bucin and Reece Johnson, saw Hamlet to a 6-0 home victory.

However, the away encounters proved much tighter with De Nairo Queva’s goal the only difference in the return Kent Youth League encounter. Ade Batula’s double settled the result in the Youth Alliance, a 2-0 that confirmed Dulwich Hamlet as Champions of their division once again.

The victors in tonight’s contest will be on their travels in the next round with the winners of Whitstable Town and Tonbridge Angels awaiting.

This evening’s game kicks off a 7pm. Please note that as this is an FA Competition season tickets are NOT valid tonight. Admission is £3 for adults, £1 for all our usual concessions with Children under 13 FREE.
