Football v Homophobia Award Nomination
Club nominated for Non-League Club of the Year award
We are honoured to have been nominated and shortlisted for the ‘Non League Club of the Year’ title in the annual Football v Homophobia awards.
The club has been nominated for the award by FvH for our inclusive ethos.
This award has been designed to celebrate the achievements of clubs within the National League System, in relation to their work on LGBTIQ+ inclusion in football. The award will be given to a non-league club which has gone above and beyond to tackle issues of exclusion in the game over the past year.
We have been shortlisted alongside fellow National League South side Concord Rangers and Harrogate Railway Athletic, who ply their trade in Division One of the Northern Counties East League. The winner of the award will be announced on Friday 24th February 2023.
We are proud that our inclusive, Football for All ethos is something that is recognised beyond the walls of Champion Hill. Having won this award last year, we look forward to finding out whether The Hamlet will be walking away with this prize for the second successive year!
