Football v Homophobia Month of Action
Dulwich Hamlet is proud to be supporting Football v Homophobia’s month of action this February.
At Dulwich Hamlet, every matchday is a Football v Homophobia matchday as we are proud to be a football club that welcomes all. No type of discrimination is tolerated at Champion Hill and we are proud to be at the forefront of inclusive football.
However, we will be shining an even brighter spotlight on the FvH campaign at all our home games during February.
Football v Homophobia exists to challenge discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression at all levels in football. As an international initiative FvH engages in campaigning, education, advice and guidance, research, policy consultation and capacity building to:
- Make existing football structures safe, welcoming and inclusive for LGBTIQ+ people
- Create opportunities and promote engagement of LGBTIQ+ people in football at all levels and in all forms
- Improve the representation and visibility of LGBTIQ+ people throughout football
- To realise the potential of football in society as a tool to create positive change
We look forward supporting this important cause in the coming months.
In particular, we are keen to hear from any LGBTIQ+ community groups who would be interested in attending a game at Champion Hill. During February, we look forward to welcoming any LGBTIQ+ groups free of charge as part of our free community ticket scheme.
