GET YOUR HANDS ON 1947 HAMLET MEMORABILIA!
The Dulwich Hamlet 12th Man scheme is auctioning a little piece of history…
Any budding Hamlet historians out there may know that Dulwich Hamlet have won the Surrey Senior Cup a record 16 times in their history, the first win coming in 1905 and the most recent back in 1975. Perhaps the most impressive of those wins came in the 1946/47 season, with a 6-0 win over Walton & Hersham in the cup final played at Selhurst Park. That season's win was made even more special by the fact that we beat local rivals Tooting & Mitcham in a Semi-Final played at Champion Hill.
Thanks to a generous donation from Hamlet fan Honor Oak Handyman (Andy Greig), you can now get your hands on a match ticket from that famous semi-final win played over 66 years ago!
The ticket has been kept in very good condition, and shows a front row seat in the old Champion Hill grandstand would have cost 3 shillings and sixpence (including tax!). Andy has framed the ticket and donated it to the 12th Man scheme, and we are now auctioning the item to raise funds for the campaign.
How can I bid?
There are a number of ways you can make a bid for the framed ticket.
