More than £1800 raised for Housing for Women and Solace Women's Aid

Following the auctioning of our one-off Her Game Too kits, worn by the men's side in March, we are delighted to reveal that your generosity has raised a staggering £1,723.01 for charity.

Hamlet fans may recall the shirts, worn in our 2-1 win over Havant & Waterlooville, which featured graphics of female football fans woven into the material, and featured our crest on a yellow background and yellow squad numbers on the back, the colour of the Her Game Too logo, which was also prominent on both the front and back.

The kit was the first of its kind, as no other team in the country created an official Her Game Too kit for their respective events over the course of the season.

On top of the auction total, your donations in buckets around the ground added a further £102.33, meaning a grand total of £1825.34 raised.

As was revealed during the kit launch, the money will be split between Solace Women's Aid and Housing for Women. Solace Women’s Aid offers free advice and support to women and children in London to help build safe and strong lives, and provide futures free from abuse and violence.

Housing for Women has a mission of empowering women and challenging inequality. They support women through their affordable housing, help women and children who are escaping domestic abuse or who have survived trafficking, as well as supporting vulnerable and older women and those leaving prison.
