Following a season in which we were missing key players for long periods and goals became increasingly hard to come by it was important to set the bar high when looking to rebuild for the future and so it was critical for the club to retain the services of two players who led from the front with their availability, consistency, performances and end product.

We are pleased to announce that both Luke Wanadio and Michael Chambers have committed to the club again for next season.

Luke’s results speak for themselves, with more than 20 goals in each of the past two seasons from the wing and a similar number of assists he has demonstrated the level of quality our fans deserve to see from our top performers in pink and blue. But in addition to those impressive individual numbers Luke is driven to achieve success for the team and it is that motivation and that goal we expect to see spread throughout the squad for the new season.

Michael was the only player to complete every minute of every league match last season and it wasn’t just the consistency, it was his ability to deliver what was asked of him week in week out that should be the benchmark we expect from every player who pulls on the shirt. He knows from personal experience what it takes for this club to achieve its potential at this level and what that meant to our fans and we look forward to him repeating that success. 

We hope they enjoy a well-earned break and look forward to sharing information on when you’ll see them next once our pre-season schedule is confirmed.
