MATCH PREVIEW | Hashtag United vs Dulwich Hamlet | Isthmian League
The Hamlet take on Hashtag for the 3rd time this season following 2 matches at Champion Hill in the 1st half of the season.
These 2 sides met in the FA Trophy first time out. Hashtag took the lead with 20 minutes to go before Kreshnic Krasniqi sent the tie to penalties in the final minute with a towering header. The Hamlet would ultimately fall to defeat on penalties losing 5-4.
Hashtag returned to the Hill weeks later in the Isthmian League and ran away 2-0 winners in a dominant display.
Since the the Tags have kicked into life and sit just outside the play-offs patiently waiting for one of the current top 5 to slip up.
Last time out the drew with strugglers Hendon 3-3 in north London. Their last home loss came on January 1st when they were defeated but current table toppers Billericay Town 1-0. Since then they've beaten the likes of Dover Athletic, Chichester City, Folkestone Invicta and Bognor Regis Town.
The Hamlet form took a downward spiral after the FA Trophy defeat at the hands of our next opponents. Last weekend the Hamlet fell to a 3-1 defeat to early pace setters Lewes in front of a sold-out Champion Hill. Cambridge United loaned Amaru Kaunda scored the opener for the Hamlet that afternoon before a 2nd half resurgence saw Lewes return to Sussex with all 3 points.
SQUAD NEWS:
Ralfi Hand suffered a set back during training this week as he looked set to return to action this weekend. We'll be able to provide a further update on him in the coming weeks. Anthony Jeffrey is ahead of scheduled and could be back for our fixture with Cheshunt. Ross Marshall has suffered with illness towards the end of this week so is also a doubt for tomorrow. Jerome Binnom-Williams is also unlikely to feature after he tweaked his groin on Thursday night.
In positive news Louis Ramsay has returned to full training and is in contention to feature tomorrow afternoon. Amaru Kaunda has also had his loan extended and will now be at Champion Hill until the end of the 24/25 season.
