REPORT | Hashtag United vs Dulwich Hamlet | Isthmian League | 8/3/25
The Hamlet headed to Essex on Saturday afternoon to take on play-off chasing Hashtag United at Parkside.
It was the hosts who would start the better of the 2 sides as Joe Christou headed just wide following a quick start.
After 5 minutes though the Hamlet would take an early lead Mark Marshall picked out Amaru Kaunda who calmly slotted his shot home to give the Hamlet the early lead they were after.
Hamlet debutant Dylan Berry was called into action for the first time after 20 minutes a quick Hashtag attack saw them unleash a strike from range but Berry denied them.
Misha Djemailli went close just short of the half and hour mark as his shot was tipped over the bar by Berry.
Against the run of play the Hamlet would double their lead thanks to David Bremang. Bremang blocked a clearance and broke through taking the ball round the keeper and smashed his shot home.
Hashtag continued to push as the first half entered its final stages as Berry tipped another shot over the bar with 10 to go.
Mark Marshall would almost make it 3 just before half time only for Jack Giddens to tip his strike over the bar as the Hamlet headed in 2-0 up at the interval.
Ten minutes into the 2nd half and the hosts would have 1 back. Matt Wooldridge whipped in a cross that fell to Luke May-Parrott who tapped it home.
With just under 30 minutes to go. Michael Chambers would score one of our goals of the season. Danny Mills headed the ball down to Chambers on the edge of the box who controlled it before curling his shot into the bottom corner.
With 15 to go Dylan Berry was called into action once again. Joshua Rusoke got the ball and struck towards goal but again Berry was their to deny.
As we entered the final 10 minutes Hashtag would be given some hope as dangerman Sak Hassan got one back. The ball fell to him on the edge of the box and he rifled his shot into the top corner.
3 minutes later and the Tags comeback would be complete as they levelled the score with a scrappy finish 5 minutes before full-time.
In what was the final chance of the match Aaron Bushell-Williams let fly from 30 yards out but Giddens tipped it over for a corner.
