The Hamlet started the 26/27 Isthmian League season with a bang on Saturday afternoon as Mark Dacey's side put six past newcomers Maldon & Tiptree in front of 1414 supporters' at Champion Hill.

It took just seven minutes for the men in pink & blue to socre their first goal of the season. Lonit Talla played a delightful ball over the Jammers backline to find the King of Camberwell Nyren Clunis who bought it down before firing into the back of the net on the half-volley!

Just minutes later and the Hamlet would be two ahead. Clunis won the ball off of the Maldon back line before rolling it into the path of Talla. The midfielder played the ball into David Smith who fired home into the bottom corner.

The first half didn't calm down there. Nyren Clunis would have his second and Dulwich's third just moments after Smith's goal. Luke Wanadio rolled it into the path of Clunis who fired it home from 25 yards out into the bottom corner.

Sam Adeyeye would almost give Maldon a route back into the game. He chopped past Sean Bonnet-Johnson only for his shot to be saved by Chelsea loanee Hudson Sands. 

Adeyeye would go close again as he glided passed Bonnett-Johnson and Samir Carruthers but would again fire his shot into the hands of Sands.

With just ten minutes of the first half left Wanadio would find the back of the net in what was arguably the best move of the afternoon. An effortless passing move started with goalkeeper Hudson Sands and finished with Gaspar Mico placing a beautitful ball into the feet of Wanadio who buried it passed the Maldon keeper. 

On the stroke of a memorable first half Gaspar Mico would add himself to the scoresheet as he won the ball back in the visitors' penalty area before slotting the ball passed a helpless goalkeeper. 

The second half started at a similar pace to the first half. This time though substitute Sol Baugh would be the one to find the back of the net.

Luke Wanadio would almost have his second of the afternoon but he fired his shot over the bar in the early stages. 

Moments later fan favourite Sean Bonnett-Johnson would go close but his shot from the edge of the box was saved easily. 

Sol Baugh would make an instant impact as he buried a shot into the bottom corner to score the Hamlet's sixth of the afternoon. 

It would finish like that, Danny Mills would go close in the final minutes but his header went wide. 

This result puts the Hamlet top of the league after the first weekend of the season before heading to take on Chatham Town on Tuesday night.
