Men's End Of Season Awards 2022-23
A hat-trick of accolades for Joe Felix, whilst Aaron Jones also picks up an award.
In the aftermath of our 1-0 defeat to Chippenham Town, and subsequent relegation from the National League South, there were still some end-of-season awards to be handed out in the clubhouse.
Lifelong Hamlet fan Cliff Stephens presented the first award in honour of his late father, the John Stephens Trophy, which he presents to the player with the best individual performance of the season in his view. This year's award went to goalkeeper Aaron Jones during our 2-0 win against Taunton Town in early April, a result which gave Aaron his first clean sheet in senior football. Aaron joins Nathan Green and Gio McGregor as winners of this trophy.

Goal of the Season went to "Starman" Joe Felix for his effort against Dover Athletic in January. Quade Taylor began the move in his own half with a thunderous tackle, before George Porter flicked the ball around the corner to our number 23. Felix, still in the Hamlet half, then sprinted forward some 50 yards with the ball, before slotting it under the goalkeeper to secure us a 2-1 win on New Year's Day.

Felix also collected both the Players' Player and Supporters' Player of the Year awards. No one played more minutes or appeared in more games than Felix this season, with Joe playing in 50 of our 53 games, with the three he missed only due to suspension for his red card at Braintree Town. He has been adored by the Rabble for his commitment in every game, whether that be as a full back, winger or in the centre of midfield.

Congratulations to both Aaron and Joe from everyone at the club.
