Hakan's side to play nine friendlies in July and August

The pre-season schedule for the men's side has now been finalised, with Hakan Hayrettin's side due to play nine times before the league season kicks off.

We will have four games at Champion Hill, with a further five on the road, with sides taken from various levels of the football pyramid, age groups, and indeed in one case, from a different country!

Kicking off the pre-season schedule will be Altona 93's visit from Hamburg on Saturday 8th July, as they seek to win the Jäger-Kail Cup, which the Hamlet claimed five years ago in Germany in a 4-1 victory.

Bromley will be the first midweek clash of the summer, with another trophy up for grabs, the Glyn Beverly Memorial Cup, currently in the possession of the Lilywhites following their win on penalties in the last game in the summer of 2021.

Following trips to a pair of National League South opposition in Aveley and Welling United, we will then host Step 4 opponents Erith & Belvedere on Saturday 22nd July.

A first match against rivals Tooting & Mitcham United in five years also awaits, whilst Millwall U23s will be our final home fixture of the summer.

Rounding off our schedule will be a trip to Marc Weatherstone's Welwyn Garden City on August 1st, and then Cray Valley Paper Mills four days later, with the league campaign getting underway on August 12th.
