Millsy Staying For Fifth Season
Striker and EDI Officer commits to the Hamlet once again.
The club can now officially confirm the re-signing of forward Danny Mills ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
With Danny staying another year, this means he will be playing for the club for a fifth season, and will also be continuing as the club's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer off the pitch too.
Danny joined the Hamlet in the summer of 2019 from Ebbsfleet United, and has gone on to score 52 times in 140 appearances for the club since.
Danny has been top scorer in three of his four seasons with the Hamlet, registering 20 goals in his debut campaign, six during the shortened 2020-21, 14 in 2021-22, and ended last season as our second-highest scorer with 12 strikes in 48 games. Only Joe Felix made more appearances than Danny last year.
He is also one of only two Hamlet players, the other being Quade Taylor, to have reached a century of appearances for the club in the National League South.
“Danny is a good character, a top professional and has a brilliant personality,” said manager Hakan Hayrettin.
“He always has a smile on his face and conducts himself in the right manner, he’s the kind of professional that I would always want to work with.”
“He is still such a threat in the air and will continue to be next season, it was a very easy decision for me to keep him with us.”
We are all very glad to have you continue with us Danny!
