More player news features in the 'Southwark News' today

As we exclusively revealed on the official Dulwich Hamlet website, Gavin Rose has been busy bolstering our championship squad from last season

From the 'Southwark News', published today, and every Thrusday, only 30p from all good local newsagents in the London Borough of Southwark:

Rose retains core of championship squad

Dulwich Hamlet will play in the Ryman Premier League with the core of their championship winning squad Gavin Rose has confirmed this week.
The manager of the Champion Hill side told the News that many of his coveted players such as Erhun Oztumer, Ellis Green, Dean Lodge and Matthieu Boyer are all staying at Dulwich next season.
Speaking about last season's player of the year Rose said: "Erhun had a number of clubs, including Conference clubs, who showed interest and we all agreed he can step and play at a higher level so we are happy that he has stayed."
The squad will have a familiar feel to it next season which is a deliberate policy. Rose added: "We have maintained the majority of the squad but there are a few we have brought in as well."
Those include midfielder Karl Beckford from Lewes, striker Gabriel Odunaike from Crawley Down Gatwick and the imminent signing of Paul Vines from Kingstonian.
Teenage midfielder Xavier Vidal is also staying on, but Rose said: "He will be with us but we are not sure how long for. He had a lot of interest but we have to make sure he's not going on trials but to places where they really want him."
Keeper Phil Wilson is also staying but Hamlet will use pre-season to see if Chico Ramos, who came in for Wilson at the end of last season, will remain at the club in the longer term.
Rose said the defensive line had been retained from last season but he was looking to bolster this area with a signing, but he has had to let one player go already.
"We had to release Frankie sawyer unfortunately. There may be one or two casualties at the end of pre-season but if we can retain everyone then we will be happy." Rose said.
"Budget wise we should just be able to do that but we will see how it goes, we don't want players here who are not playing or featuring but for now we are really happy with what we got."
With a 46 game league season ahead the Hamlet gaffer felt he needed numbers to supplement last season's squad.
He said: "We will need more depth but the person who comes in has to be of the same quality of the man who he is replacing."

The 'Southwark News' also wnet on to feature Gavin Rose being named as the top manager in our division last season:

Rose named manager of the year

Dulwich gaffer Gavin Rose has been named manager of the year for the Ryman League South at an awards ceremony last weekend.
The 35-year-old, alongside coaches Junior Kadi and Kevin James, oversaw Hamlet's championship winning campaign last term which was sealed on the last day of the season with a draw against Burgess Hill Town.
The title was the Champion Hill side's first in 35 years and was all the more impressive as it was achieved despite cuts in the playing budget last campaign. Next season Dulwich will ply their trade in the Ryman Premier League.
Four of Hamlet's championship winning squad also made it into the divisional side of the season, voted for by mangers and coaches in the Ryman League South.
Huddersfield Town bound striker Daniel Carr made it into the eleven alongside winger Nyren Clunis, centre-half Lewis Gonsalves and Hamlet player of the year Erhun Oztumer.
Maidstone United were named Ryman League South Team of the Year despite coming runners-up to Dulwich in the league table. The Kent side were promoted to the same league as Hamlet through the play-offs.
