Xavier Vidal has stepped two levels up the football pyramid & will be playing in the National League, formerly known as the Conference National.

Young Xavier, who joined the ASPIRE Academy, coached by our successful Youth Team, under the wing of Gavin Rose, Kevin James & Junior Kadi, came to Champion Hill as a raw but talented fifteen year old five years ago & blossomed to captain our youngsters, breaking into the Dulwich Hamlet First Team whilst still a teenage Youth Team academy player.

For the new season he will be swapping our Pink & blue shirts for the red ones of Welling United...& will play against the likes of Tranmere Rovers, Grimsby Town & Wrexham!

Welling have offered the player an opportunity to further his career and development ata higher level just one step below the Football League.

In other transfer news Terrell Forbes has also signed for a National League side, albeit one division lower than Xavier, joining Hemel Hempsted Town in the National League South division.

In respect to his loyal service Dulwich Hamlet Football Club have waived a fee for the player in order to make things as smooth as possible but have retained a percentage clause, on the eventuality of a sell on.

Xavier played over 100 games for the club and scored over 30 goals from midfield, the most important being the title clincher against Burgess Hill Town on the last day of the 2012/13 season that brought the Ryman League Division One South title to SE22 & he was without a doubt a firm favourite among 'The Rabble' behind the goal, who dedicated several songs to him!

Vidal had attracted much attention from the football world, many professional scouts tracking him and going on various trials.

Last word to Hamlet manager Gavid Rose who paid tribute to Xavier & gave him his personal blessing for the new season by stating:
