Another tough test on the road awaits as Gavin Rose’s men make the trip up the M40 to take on Oxford City this Saturday.

After last Saturday’s commanding 3-0 triumph over Bath City, another three points, this time on their travels, against fellow play off contenders St Albans City has Hamlet fans dreaming of promotion. Rose’s side lurch just three points off table toppers Dartford and have a game in hand. Tuesday night’s action-packed thriller saw yet another late winner for the Southeast London side, after a recent late goal sealed an identical 4-3 score line over Hampton & Richmond a couple of games ago. Chike Kandi was the hero midweek, this time round, coming off the bench to bag himself a brace whilst Danny Mills and Darren McQueen completed Dulwich’s four-goal haul.

Oxford City will pose yet another huge challenge for the visiting side, with the Hoops last and only Vanarama National League South defeat coming back in September. Maidstone United were the conquerors of Marsh Lane when they came away with a 3-1 victory. City’s most recent outing was a trip to the leaders, and David Oldfield’s men managed to come out unscathed in a 0-0 stalemate at the Princes Park Stadium. Oxford’s last win came whilst on a visit to Tonbridge, with leading goal scorer (6) Joe Iaciofano bagging from the spot along with a goal from defender, George Harmon, giving the Hoops their latest three points.

Hamlet won’t want to take notice of their recent record against Saturday’s opponents, with the Hoops winning all previous four encounters between the pair. Upon Dulwich’s most recent trip to Marsh Lane back in December 2020, a narrow 1-0 win for the ten men of City was enough to bag maximum points. A first win over Saturday’s opponents could take the Hamlet to the dizzy heights of first place, depending on the Darts result at Hemmel Hempstead, whilst a win for the hosts would draw them level on points with Rose’s side.
