Staying local tomorrow?
There is some football about, but why not support cycling at the famous Good Friday meeting at the Herne Hill Velodrome?
Herne Hill, of course, was the only other venue in Southwark used in the 1948 'Austerity' London Olympics, alongside our old Champion Hill Stadium.
We know a number of our fans are keen supporters of cycling judging by the growing number of bicycles inside the ground on a matchday.
After many years of uncertainty about our famous neighbour the traditional Good Friday is establishing itself again in the South London sporting calender. Ir promises to be a great day with both British & foreign riders, gates open at 9.30am, the preliminaries start at half past ten, with the finals of the various events commencing at one o'clock.
It's only £12 to get in, £6 for 12 to 16 year olds, & younger than that they come in free.
There's also a real ale stand, as if you didn't need encouragement!
If you are there why not wear your Pink & Blue scarf to show off your proud support of The Hamlet & let other local people how visible we are as a Club?
It should be a great way to tide you over the break until the big game at Tooting & Mitcham United on Saturday afternoon!
