Thank You Sue

Thank You Sue

We bid a fond farewell to Sue Plain as secretary of the women's side

As our women's side continue their pre-season schedule later this afternoon against Oxford United Women at Champion Hill, some eagle-eyed fans may notice a change of personnel in the boardroom.

Over the summer, our secretary Sue Plain has stepped down from her role after providing incredible service to the club in that capacity for the last couple of years. Sue is intending to move to Scotland, sadly supporting the Hamlet from afar rather than inside Champion Hill.

Chairman Ben Clasper had this to say about Sue, "Sue has done an outstanding job as secretary for our women's team, always working exceptionally hard in her role, which has made things run incredibly smoothly and consistently during her time with us. As well as this, she has been a real champion of the team, one of their greatest supporters since they took on our name in 2019, and is an incredibly popular figure with the players and staff as well. I hope and expect that we will still see Sue regularly as much as her personal circumstances allow. I am thankful for the way she has represented the club as secretary."

Taking over the secretarial reins from Sue is Jatin Guntupalli. Jatin joins us from our good friends over at Hendon, where he has been involved as a volunteer for the past couple of seasons. He will also support men's secretary Joe Hickey as his assistant.

"It has been wonderful welcoming Jatin to the club this summer," said Ben, "He has come in and shown great organisation and an eagerness to do the job to as professionally as possible, and I know he will be a real asset to Joe and the club this season. On top of this he arrives to us with a degree in media and business from UCFB, which will allow him to help Tom Bale in a media capacity this season when required. It is always fantastic when someone has a multitude of different skills they can bring to the club to help us progress."

On behalf of everyone associated with the club, we wish Sue the best of luck for the future and thank her for her brilliant service, and wish Jatin a very warm welcome to the Hamlet.
