The (OLD) Boys Are Back In Town!

A host of former Dulwich stars are gracing the hallowed Hamlet turf this afternoon, kick off at two o'clock.

The match, between the current Dulwich team & a side of former players are playing each other in a special benefit match to raise awareness and money for the youth motivational project of our former player Lionel Best, whose organisation is called Besty's Inspirational Guidance.

Admission is by donation to the programme collectors' buckets, the bar will be open, and as I type the ice cream van is here & the jerk chicken stall is firing up!

There will be a raffle on the day, as well as a footbal auction, with many prizes donated from those in the game, from clubs as diverse as Northampton Town to Sunderland, among many others!

A Dulwich Hamlet family season ticket will also be up for grabs, one in the raffle, one in the auction.

There are a huge swathe of former Hamlet players due to attend, some names to tease you with, apart from Lionel himself, naturally, are:

Albert Hunter; Rudi Hedman; Francis Duku; John Daly; Gary Hewitt; Lee Akers; Dave coppin; Carl Richards; Lennie O'Connor; Matt Norris...and many more.
