Treble of Titles for Dulwich as Youth add Kent Youth League (North)
A pulsating game of football at Champion Hill as the youngsters fight back against Greenwich Borough to life the silverware.
A better finish to the Youth Team's season could not have been set up with second placed Greenwich Borough, the only team who deny them the title, the visitors to Champion Hill this morning.
Despite having the bulk of the possession, it was Borough who had the majority of the true chances and it was no surprise when they barged ahead midway through the first half. Almost bang on the stroke of half time Dulwich levelled as a corner was met with a sweet finish by Tre Zailor through a crowd of defenders.
Jamie Mascoll's brilliant solo goal, cutting in from the left and unleashing a fireball of a shot from 25 yards out, put Dulwich in the driving seat with a little more than five minutes left. Still there was time for more drama. In stoppage time Greenwich pulled level again as a shot from the end of the area dribbled through into the bottom corner. However the nerves were put to bed when Shawn McCoulsky pounced on the ball inside the six yard box and drilled home from an angle.
The game ended on a bit of sour note as Josh Fernandez was dismissed for a second yellow card from the restart but it could not distract from further success for the Dulwich Hamlet and Aspire Academy production line as the Kent Youth League North Division was added to the Football Conference Youth Alliance Kent / South East London Division and the Capital League.
