TRUK United Returning To Champion Hill
The club are hosting two matches on International Transgender Day of Visibility in March
The club is delighted to announce that following the success of last season's event, TRUK United are returning to Champion Hill in March.
This year's event will take place on the International Transgender Day of Visibility on Friday 31st March, and will feature not one, but two fixtures involving the Hamlet in a unique event!
First up is a repeat of last year's clash, which will see an all-trans female side take on a team comprising a mix of our women's First Team and Reserve players. The game last year was a historic moment, as it was the first time ever that an all-trans female side had taken to the pitch anywhere in the world.
The TRUK side will want to exact some revenge on last year's 7-0 defeat to the Hamlet, which saw Ana de Pellegrin net a hat-trick, a brace for Sophie Manzi, and further goals from Kamilla Hjelmsbo and Alexandra Muschette.
The second game also sees an all-trans male side take to a football pitch for the first time ever in Europe, and just second time globally following the creation of a side in India. The TRUK team will be lining up against our DHFC Supporters' side.
Profits from the night will be going to TRUK Radio, which was founded in February 2018 as a radio station for the transgender community, made by the transgender community, and TRUK Listens, a service that people can ring up when they need someone to talk to.
Both games will have 30 minute halves, with the first game due to kick off at 7:15pm. Following the action on the pitch, there will be live DJ sets in the bar afterwards and further fundraising opportunities.
Ticket prices are just £4 for adults and £2 for concessions and free for Under 13s, which will be available on the turnstiles on the night and can also be bought online here - https://app.fanbaseclub.com/Fan/Tickets/SelectType?fixtureId=2508
The club are looking for volunteers to help us on the evening as turnstile operators and stewards, if you would like to help, please email the Supporters' Trust at
Hope to see as many of you as possible on March 31st!
