Tuesday: Dulwich Hamlet vs Wealdstone
Dulwich Hamlet play their first home game of the season against Wealdstone on Tuesday night at 7:45pm
The wait is almost over. Dulwich Hamlet are back at Champion Hill and will play their first home game of the National League South season against Wealdstone.
Dulwich Hamlet are looking to continue their excellent start to the new campaign, which began with a 2-1 win away to Tonbridge on Saturday.
Manager Gavin Rose issued a rallying call to fans to come out and support the Hamlet. “Tuesday nights are potentially more difficult for supporters who work in the day,” he said. “Champion Hill’s a much more lively place when we get big numbers and the players like and enjoy it, especially on a summer night. So we’d like them to come down and help us!”.
With a number of new players joining the club over the summer, Tuesday night is a great opportunity to see our fresh-looking side in action. Two of the new boys were on the scoresheet this weekend, with captain David Ijaha and winger Jeffrey Monakana both getting their first goals for the club.
Rose has been pleased with what he has seen from the team so far. “I feel we’ve got a good level of experience but also some young players who I feel are adding a good little bit of energy to the group as well”, he said on the makeup of his squad.
