We drew... but CHARITY was the winner!
With totals still being tallied up we have been totally blown away by the amount raised on Saturday for the Mayor of Southwark's charity fund.
Our provisional count will ensure a donation to His Worshipful the Mayor of Southwark's charity appeal, in aid of two homeless charities-The Robes Project & UK Homes 4 Heroes; will be....
Just over SIX THOUSAND POUNDS!
And as if that wasn't enough, your generousity on the day also raised the sum of just over NINE HUNDRED POUNDS for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, thanks to your support of the Dulwich Hamlet Players & Management Ice Bucket Challenge!
At this point I should say THANK YOU to everyone who helped to make the day such a success, there were so many of you.
So please forgive me if I name just a few special people, even though you were all wonderful...
Liam Hickey, my 'partner in crime' from the Football Commitee;
Our owners & landlords,The Hadley Group, for allowing us to stage the event;
Duncan Hart, from the Dulwich Hamlet Supporters Trust, who mobilised so many fans to publicise the event;
Peter Adeniyi, for thinking up & co-ordinating the Ice Bucket Challenge & getting all the kids along on the day, before kick off & at half time, from his Dulwich Hamlet Football in the Community scheme. Along with Gavin Rose & the players for getting soaked!
& The Mayor of Southwark, Cllr. Sunil Chopra, for allowing us to support his Charity, and attending the match.
But most of all, each & every one of you who came along on the day making donations, whether first timers, or regular Dulwich Hamlet fans.
Speaking personally, which I don't often do on here, the official Dulwich Hamlet website, I am just one of many who loves our Club & tries to do his little bit to help, Saturday simply the most moving & amazing thing I've ever had the pleasure of helping to organise.
Please allow me the luxury of being a website contributor to thank each & every person who came through the turnstiles on Saturday from the bottom of my heart.
