Youth Team Ease Through

A 9-0 victory for the Youth Team over East Grinstead saw them set up a meeting with Chipstead in the next round of the FA Youth Cup.

It was a sign of things to come that Nicholas Hill in the visitors goal was called upon to make 3 outstanding saves inside the first 3 minutes. In fact the surprising thing was that it took until the 15th minute for a goal. A well worked free kick saw Ricardo Soyoye volley home.

On 26 minutes a poor back pass saw Shawn McCoulskey finish clinically and two minutes later a fine ball from Joshua Fernandes saw Kameiko Pope-Campbell add goal number three.

On the half our a fine pass from Jamie Mascoll saw McCoulskey tripped in the box and he picked himself up to slot home the spot kick. Three minutes later McCoulskey add another from the spot.

The sixth goal arrived two minutes from half time as Add Batula cut in from the left to score.

Half Time 6-0

Six minutes after the break McCoulskey had his fourth as he flicked the ball on and then outpaced the defence to score.

It wasn't until the 71st minute that number eight arrived as Ricardo Soyoye bulleted a header home from a corner.

The final goal came five minutes from time as a shot from Oshan Proni struck the post and Joshua Fernandes followed up to score.

The visitors had their only shot right on the final whistle but even that failed to bring a save from Ediz Hoca in the Hamlet goal.

In fact, without many outstanding saves from Hill in the visitors goal the score would have been considerably worse for the visitors.
