Weekend of inaction for Dulwich Hamlet Youth teams

The weather meant all the Aspire Academy coached youngsters were left without a game on Sunday in the Kent Youth League

Neither the Under 18s nor the Under 16s were scheduled to play with both sides matches being rescheduled to take account of the Christmas / New Year holidays.

Meanwhile the Under 14s game with Cray Wanderers Youth was one of many across the Kent Youth League that fell foul of the weather with Dulwich's pitch at Rutland Walk declared unplayable due to the rain.

This left only the Under 15s with a game, one that that seemed unlikely to be kiboshed by the inclement weather as it was due to take place on the 3G pitch at Church Road, Whyteleafe. Unfortunately the elements had other ideas with a cloudburst shortly before kickoff leaving the pitch inundated with surface, rendering it unplayable!

Weather permitting all the Aspire Academy coached Youth teams will be back in action next weekend.

The Under 18s take on West Wickham at Rutland Walk in the Kent Youth League KitToFit Challenge Cup last 16 tie (11am KO).

In the league the Under 16s travel to Thamesmead Town in the league, the match to be played at Bayliss Avenue. The Under 15s go to VCD Athletic's Old Road ground whilst the Under 14s have a rearranged trip to Crayford Arrows, the venue being Bakers Field in Crayford. All these games are scheduled for a 2pm kickoff.
