This was a game where, despite The Hamlet striking the goal frame twice, a draw was definitely a fair result. With a bitterly cold wind swirling around the stadium, neither side was able to put together any sustained period of attacking pressure and neither keeper had to be anything other than was really extended in the saves they had to make.
It was 17 minutes before Marc Charles-Smith had the first dangerous effort on goal, his overhead kick being blocked at the expense of a corner. For Dulwich, a 23rd minute cross from Nathan Ferguson was missed by Muhammadu Faal and, with home keeper Gore late in moving, the ball came out off the far post.
Very late in the first half both Reise Allassani and Nyren Clunis had efforts that flashed just wide of the target.
Half Time 0-0
An early second half effort from Ashley Carew was saved but the game soon settled back into a turgid battle, although Nathan Ferguson again hit the goal frame with a 58th minute effort after creating space in the box.
Other than a couple of through passes he had to clear, Preston Edwards was not called upon to make a save until an effort from Moncur saw him save low to his right.
Some runs from Nathan Green looked like they may have the desired effect for Dulwich, but in the end came to nothing. Whilst, the home side were neat in possession but were thwarted by good defending and so unable to extend Edwards
The best chance of the game came 13 minutes from time when an Ashley Carew free kick was headed just wide by substitute Rickie Hayles.
Final Score 0-0
