Tonbridge Angels game postponed
With the Champion Hill pitch still blanketed under a shroud of snow, an early decision has been made to call off Saturday’s Bostik League game.
With the Bostik League allowing its member clubs to make a Friday decision on the potential fitness of their pitches ahead of the weekend’s scheduled fixtures, Dulwich Hamlet’s groundsman Ian Jordan was called in this morning to check on the current state of the Champion Hill surface. The ground is currently covered with four to five inches of snow which has become encrusted in the freezing temperatures of the past few days. Beneath that there is a deep frost. As the snow is frozen to the grass beneath any attempt to remove it is likely to cause irreparable damage to the surface and turf.
A new date for the game will be announced in due course. If you purchased a ticket via SEE Tickets this will still be valid for any rearranged game and you will shortly receive an email updating you in regards to this.
