WINNING WEEKEND FOR DULWICH HAMLET YOUNGSTERS
Victories for both of the ASPIRE Academy sides in the Kent Youth League as the teams made inroads at top of their divisions.
After the previous weekend's 2-1 reverse away to Bromley A at Bellingham it was of vital importance that the Under 18s rebounded when they entertained North Division leaders Greenwich Borough at Rutland Walk yesterday. And they did so in fine fashion clinching a victory that moved three points closer to the Borough as the title race grew ever tight. Lekan Osideko continued his fine run of goals scoring twice whilst Henry Awokere also found the net, Dulwich Hamlet now just one win adift of top spot.
Meanwhile the Under 16s clinched a narrow 2-1 victory away to HF Sports Paulista, a result that moved them up to 5th spot in the North Division, six points shy of leaders Erith & Belvedere with two games in hand.
Both sides are back in Kent Youth League action next weekend with the Under 18s taking on Meridian VP at Rutland Walk, kicking off at 11am, and the Under 16s travelling to Greenwich Borough. That game takes place at Samuel Montague Youth Centre in Kidbrooke, kicking off at 2pm.
Before then the ASPIRE Academy have a National League Under 19 Youth Alliance fixture on Wednesday when they play Crystal Palace at Long Lane JFC in Blackheath, KO 1.00pm
