Century Up For Grainger
Keeper reaches one hundred games between the posts for the Hamlet.
Whilst the 4-1 defeat to Farnborough was a thoroughly disappointing afternoon, amongst the wind and rain a landmark was achieved by Charlie Grainger.
By playing against Boro, the 26-year-old brought up a century of appearances for the club, just the fourth player in the current squad to have achieved that after Sanchez Ming, Quade Taylor and Danny Mills. Charlie has been a fan favourite since signing for the club in the summer of 2019 from Leyton Orient, consistently putting in dominant performances in the number one jersey, as well as conducting himself extremely professionally off it.
He faced a delay in making his debut for the club, having suffered a concussion during the pre-season schedule of 2019, with him and Preston Edwards then behind Ashley Maynard-Brewer in the pecking order, but he eventually made his first start in a 5-1 win against Croydon Athletic that October, and has virtually been our number one since then.
To date, he has also kept 17 clean sheets for the Hamlet. Congratulations on reaching this landmark Chaz, looking forward to many, many more appearances for the club.
