DULWICH HAMLET SUPPORTERS’ TRUST WELCOME NEW MEGA-CONTAINER!

Having outgrown the much loved Mega-Shed, the Supporters’ Trust will soon be moving into a new home just around the corner.

Just before midday yesterday, Champion Hill welcomed its newest signing, a former shipping container that has seen service from the Sea of Japan through the Arabian Gulf and up the English Channel. Now in place just along from the main turnstiles entrance, the shipping container will become the new home for the Supporters’ Trust Shop, selling a range of merchandise from scarves through exclusive limited edition tee-shirts, replica kit and much, much more.

Over the coming weeks the Supporters Trust will be working hard to convert the container into the new home of all things Dulwich Hamlet, unfortunately not in time for the Christmas rush. Rest assured the faithful old Mega-Shed will still be on hand to provide all your Dulwich Hamlet related present needs!

The work will see new linings installed to the floor, walls and ceilings, a window and electrical works.

The Dulwich Hamlet Supporters’ Trust also plan to give the container a new link of paint turning her plain exterior into something magical with the famous old colours of Dulwich Hamlet, Pink and Blue to the fore!

The Supporters’ Trust have expressed their extreme gratitude to Hadley Property Group, and Dulwich Hamlet Football Club, who have agreed to fund half the cost of the container and its conversion by foregoing their share of profits from merchandise sales until these costs are recovered.

The Trust have also thanked supporters who have agreed to donate their time or money so far. However, to turn the container into a centrepiece of Champion Hill they are looking for assistance from supporters with things such as:

• Donating materials including timber, paint and other essential.
• Donating trade skills and time – the Trust could really do with fully qualified electricians and carpenters. However even if you don’t feel you have any particular skills a helping hand or several will be more than welcome!
• Perhaps you’re a local up & coming artist who’d like to showcase your artistic talents? The Mega-Container could be the perfect blank canvas for you.
