PREVIEW | Dulwich Hamlet vs Horsham | 21/09/24
The Hamlet return to SE22 on Saturday afternoon for their only home game of September as they take on Sussex based Horsham FC at Champion Hill.
The Hamlet have had a weekend break between this fixture and their victory over Canvey Island earlier this month. Whilst Horsham come into this having defeated Dorking Wanderers in the FA Cup for the 2nd season running.
The Hamlet have used the break to bring back a number of injured players to full fitness. Ross Marshall misses out following his injury against Leatherhead he's looking at a December return to competitive action. Sean Bonnett-Johnson picked up a nock against Canvey but has made a good recovery and is potentially in contention for the clash with Horsham.
The rest of the squad return with Hakan Hayrettin having for the 1st time this season a full squad at his disposal.
Horsham advanced to the 3rd Qualifying round of the FA Cup on Saturday when they defeated Dorking Wanderers once again. In the league it'a their home form that's kept them in the play-off hunt over the opening 2 months with victories against Chichester City and Potters Bar Town that came either side of a 4-1 demolition of Hashtag United in Essex.
Last time out in the league they headed to Cray Wanderers and secured a 0-0 draw in front of 607 on the edge of the capital.
These 2 finished 2023 against each other in front of 2,796 at Champion Hill in an entertaining 1-1 draw. Despite a promising season Horsham would miss out on potential promotion following a penalty shootout defeat to finalists Chatham Town in Kent.

The Hamlet men return to Champion Hill on Saturday 21st September as we host Horsham in the Isthmian League. It comes with the Hamlet just outside the play offs having picked up 10 points from their last 5 games. We crept into the top 10 last Saturday with an impressive victory over Canvey Island.
The Hamlet would be plagued by injuries going into the game with the likes of Sam German and Ryley Scott missing out. The injury issues would worsen with Lorenzo and Sean Bonnett-Johnson picking up nocks as a makeshift Hamlet side saw the game out and picked up 3 valuable points.
